Through the ClimateEQ Academy, we offer accredited courses spanning carbon accounting, environmental auditing, and climate reporting — alongside bespoke consultancy services. Are your courses accredited?

Accepted Answer

Most of our courses are professionally accredited. The ISEP Technical Associate Carbon Accountant Certificate (TACA), the ISEP Carbon Footprinting & Reporting course, and the ISEP Internal EMS Auditor Training are all ISEP-accredited. Our Carbon Literacy course is accredited by the Carbon Literacy Project. Our short micro-learning courses are not currently accredited but do include a certificate of completion. CPD hours vary by course — full accreditation and CPD details are listed on each individual course page.

I have been searching for IEMA courses, is that the same as ISEP?

Yes. IEMA rebranded to ISEP,  the Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals. All qualifications and accreditations previously issued under the IEMA name are now issued under ISEP. If you have been looking for IEMA-accredited carbon accounting courses, ClimateEQ's ISEP-accredited courses are what you are looking for.

How are your courses delivered?

Most of our courses are delivered fully online and self-paced, guided by AI-powered avatars that replicate our expert trainers — so you get consistent, high-quality teaching, but study whenever suits you, with no fixed start dates, cohort schedules, or waiting lists. You'll have access to your course materials for 12 months after enrolling. Our Carbon Literacy course works a little differently: it combines self-paced e-learning with a live, 3-hour webinar led by a real accredited trainer. What support is available during a course?

You're never learning alone. All learners have access to our qualified, professionally accredited trainers, real people, not a chatbot or a generic help desk.On our ISEP-accredited courses, that means direct messaging support whenever you need it, plus a complimentary one-to-one consultation with a real ClimateEQ practitioner. On our Carbon Literacy course, you'll work directly with a real accredited trainer during your live webinar. Our short micro-learning courses are designed for fast, independent learning, so they don't include one-to-one support,  but if a question comes up, our team is always happy to help.Full support details for each course are listed on its individual page.

How are courses assessed?

On our accredited courses, assessment covers all learning outcomes through a combination of practical exercises, interactive activities, and an end-of-course examination, with three attempts at both end-of-module and end-of-course assessments. Our short micro-learning courses include practical activities and a short end-of-course check, designed to reinforce your learning rather than formally test it,  there's no pass mark to meet, and everyone who completes the course receives a certificate. Our carbon reduction consultancy helps organisations measure, report, and reduce their greenhouse gas emissions. We work with you to establish your carbon baseline, build a complete emissions inventory across Scopes 1, 2 and 3, identify your highest-impact emissions sources, and develop a credible, practical reduction strategy aligned to internationally recognised standards.

Our approach is built around building your in-house expertise, not creating dependency on us. We give your organisation the knowledge, tools, and technology to measure, report, and reduce your emissions independently. That includes access to our digital carbon dashboards, giving you real-time visibility of your emissions data so your team can track, manage, and report with confidence. If we are still doing the same work for you two years later, we have not done our job properly.
